Julie Leszczynski RSS
Hello! My name is Julie Leszczynski and I have been with the Wahlstrom family since 2005. The degrees I hold include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology with specialization in Art Therapy, a Masters degree in Curriculium and Instruction, and a Maters degree in Early Childhood Reading and Literacy. As a life long learner, I firmly believe in the power of education and in positively developing the minds of youth.

“Students can learn anything you teach them. One must never be afraid to raise the bar, never be afraid to take the next step, and never be afraid to push the limits.”

This is a quote that I believe defines how I approach my profession. Teaching is a great responsibility. What drives me is the challenge of enabling students, to discover for themselves, the potential they have within.  I believe teaching is not only about academics, rather, it is about the way a student feels about himself/herself in the classroom.  The only way to establish positive self-efficacy in students is to encourage and lead by example.  Mrs. Green, my very own kindergarten teacher, developed my sense of self-efficacy and instilled in me the confidence to believe in myself by teaching me to not to be afraid of the unknown, to take chances, and to not to be afraid to make mistakes. Mrs. Green taught me “mistakes are the way knowledge sticks in our brain.” Today I would love to thank Mrs. Green for those valuable lessons because if it were not for taking chances and making mistakes, I do not think I would be so confident in the things that I want out of my life today. Those experiences are what I strive to deliver to my students each day.  Those experiences are not so easily taught through books, rather, they are developed by welcoming all students, supporting all solutions, and encouraging all perspectives to yield personal confidence and academic greatness.
